Landscapes and points of interest
The Albera Natural Park of National Interest is located in the northeast of the Empordà region and is part of the municipalities of La Jonquera, Espolla, and Rabós. It is about 25 km long, and its main peaks are Puig Neulós (1257 m), Puig dels Pastors (1,167 m), Puig dels Quatre Termes (1,156 m), and Pic de Sallafort (992 m).
It presents a great biological diversity and, for centuries, has been a strategic area due to its border function between the plains of Empordà and Roussillon, where the main civilizations that forged the old continent left their mark.
This natural area is made up of two distinct zones. The western sector, Requesens-Baussitges, has Central European-style vegetation with beech and humid oak forests. The eastern sector, Sant Quirze de Colera, is more Mediterranean, with cork oak forests and scrubland where the last populations of the Mediterranean tortoise survive.

History and culture
Masarac Bunkers
These are military constructions carried out by the Francoist organization called "Servicio Militar de Construcción" (Military Construction Service). These fortifications belong to the extensive network of bunkers and machine gun nests, built between 1940-45, which stretches along the lands near the border and the northern coast of the Empordà.
The DO Empordà
This is a historic wine designation that produces wines influenced by the tramuntana wind, which gives them personality by concentrating the sugars and aromas of the grapes. Garnacha and Cariñena are the gems of the DO, with great varietal richness, as it produces all varieties of Garnacha and Cariñena—black, white, and red. The range of wines includes reds, whites, rosés, sweet, and sparkling wines.
Santa Llúcia
Santa Llúcia is documented from the 10th century as belonging to the freehold of Solans and under the patronage of Saint Michael. For a time, it had the status of a parish, but around the 17th century, it came to depend on Santa Maria de la Jonquera and changed its patronage to that of Saint Llúcia. The current building is from the late Romanesque period. It consists of a single nave, covered with a pointed vault and topped with a semicircular apse.
